1. SET UP & TERMINOLOGY
How to set up your project and get video into your DAW. You will also learn some technical jargon relating to files and formats.
2. UNDERSTANDING THE WHOLE FILM PROJECT
People management is an important skill to get to grips with when scoring films, and interpreting the brief and the client’s wants and needs is also a key part of the process.
3. SCORING TECHNIQUES
Spotting the film before you start is very important. Learn about tempo maps and different ways to approach the scoring part of the process.

Guy Michelmore is a multi award-winning film, games and television composer whose clients include Marvel, Disney, Dreamworks, Lionsgate and dozens of major TV networks around the world. He is best known for his work with Marvel on eight animated feature films including Ultimate Avengers and Thor, as well as hundreds of episodes of television including Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, Iron Man: Armoured Adventures, Hulk and many more. His unique and accessible style has made him a popular YouTuber with over 300,000 subscribers.
