Interactive Video and Quizzes
Interactivity is a core part of education because how can you know how well you're doing without some form of feedback? We've been working hard on ways to bring us closer to the students that study on our Short Courses, and we felt this was the best approach.
Interactive Video means that you can test not only your knowledge as you progress, but we also give you the opportunity to introduce yourself and tell us what you're looking for from the course - the course remembers your choices and will be relevant throughout the program.
All modules end with a quiz which is crucial for showing yourself how well you know the content. If you score high on the quiz, then you're good to go! If you need more time to go over the materials, then you can re-watch specific sections of the course to fill in the gaps in your knowledge based on the results of the quiz.

Our Discord Community
We want to bring our students closer together, as we understand online learning can be isolating at times. With the launch of this course we are also starting a brand new ThinkSpace Community Discord channel that anyone on this course, and other courses that use ThinkSpace Interactive, can join.
We hope you use this community as a relaxed environment to share your work with each other and ask questions amongst others people in similar situations as you. We've had plenty of experience running a Discord server for our Postgraduate Degree students, and we're very excited to bring this to our other courses too!
MinusONE
Learning how to write your own trailer music is one thing, but actually doing it can be overwhelming when starting from scratch. To help with this we've implemented some assignments to help you get started in the form of MinusONE Assessments.
We will provide you with stems that build most of a track, but with one key missing part. This allows you to focus purely on the one instrument group that module is focussing on, without thinking too much about the composition or its structure.
After taking part in the interactive scoring demonstrations, and watching all the videos and reading the text, you should be very well equipped to tackle these tasks!

Trailer music is synonymous with string ostinatos and synths - often used for bass and pads.
Here we will be introducing you to these musical and technical devices, and how you can impart your own sound and style on these crucial elements.
In trailer music, percussion still reigns supreme as the dominant force in creating impactful and memorable trailer tracks.
This module will show you how to blend percussive layers and create unique and impactful rhythm sections in your trailer music.
Creative sound design can create a sensor of atmosphere and establish a tone or mood that emphasizes the drama and tension on screen.
The combination of sound effects, music, and dialogue will all need to work together to truly create a cohesive audio experience.
We're reaching the end of the trailer music writing journey!
Here we're going to put all of what you've learnt to the test and build a complete trailer track from scratch.
In order to produce a high-quality track, the person mixing trailer music must have a deep understanding of the song's compositional elements as well as a strong understanding of music production and manipulation.
Here you'll learn how to manage your projects, apply effects conscientiously to your music, and mix and master your music.
